Alfie Deyes ' 25 Things To Do' Challenge

Challenging ourselves to do the Alfie Deyes 'Things To Do' Challenge

Hey everyone!
It’s Sunday and that means posting day (and we’re actually sticking to our new schedule).

After watching Alfie Deyes’ (@Pointlessblog) new video ‘25 Things To Do This Summer!’  we thought we would create our own list of things to do. Unfortunately it’s not summer here in Australia, so our list outlines 25 things we’d love to do this winter. Here is what we came up with...

1.    See a musical at the theatre
2.
Splurge on something (other than clothes)
3. Try something new together
4. Go to Jamie's Italian
5. Vlog  for an entire day (for memories sake)
6. Go out for breakfast/brunch
7. Watch 'The Fault in Our Stars'
8. Go to our local chocolate factory
9. Buy a friendship Pandora charm
10. Find a hidden cafe in the city and order a hot chocolate
11. Do something crafty
12. Go a day without technology
13. Play a board game
14. Go rock climbing/trampolining
15. Put on the music channel and dance
16. Exercise more frequently
17. Read more – books, magazines etc.
18. Spend a day in our OnePiece jumpsuits
19. Buy the River Island ‘Fashion Blogger’ sweatshirt
20. Commit to learning to drive
21. Sit by the sea eating dessert pizza
22. Learn more chords and songs on our guitars
23. Go to a university ball
24. Buy a winter coat
25. Stick to our blogging schedule over the winter university holidays

We also decided to create number 25 for Alfie since he accidentally only came up with 24 so we thought we’d challenge him to film a video showing off all his skate boarding tricks on his skateboard Vivien.

Tell us what are some things you would like to do this winter or summer?

Two Ways To Wear...

Weeeeeeee’re baaaaack!

Sorry about the lack of posts recently (blame the dreaded university assignments and exams :( )! But we’re now on winter holidays so there’s no excuse for neglecting our blog. To address our new blogging schedule, we’ve decided to increase our posts to twice a week over the July period. Our posting days will be Friday and Sunday. So let’s get started!

When we originally tried on this dress in TopShop, the first word that popped into our heads was: comfortable. This emerald green smock dress is the definition of comfortable. Although it originally caught Bec’s eye because of the deep green colour and unique texture, it was ultimately the comfortable, care-free, doesn’t-feel-like-your-wearing-a-dress vibe that won us over. As this piece features in both of our wardrobes, we decided to make a post on the different ways this dress can be styled…

Dress - Topshop,  Denim Jacket - Dotti, Shoes - Betts, Necklace - Diva

Rebecca:
For a more casual approach, I decided to throw over my cropped, dark denim jacket. I think the jacket helps to maintain that comfort, care-free element, keeping things more relaxed. To me, denim jackets scream day-time and casual but I think the cropped style adds a touch of femininity and sophistication. I also love how the deep green hues in the dress complement the dark denim giving the look a slightly 90’s edge. I wore my black heeled sandals which are also super comfy and day-time appropriate. The necklace which I have worn previously on the blog (#accesoriesrepeater), finishes off this outfit. It is perfect for those rushed days hunting through the mid-year sales or going for a hot chocolate at a cafe on the beach with friends. Whatever the occasion, uncomfortableness won’t be a problem.

Ellie:
On the flipside, I opted for a more dressy approach. I love keeping it simple with this dress as I think the emerald green does most of the talking. As Coco Chanel once said, ‘Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance’. So following the wise words of Coco, I went with a basic black boot and gold necklace. I think that gold is the perfect match for this shade of green whilst also adding an element of glamour for a more evening-appropriate look. I would not hesitate to wear this ensemble on a night out with the girls at the casino or possibly even a pop concert. Topshop has some wonderful smock dresses which I think are the perfect addition to any wardrobe…especially if you take as long as I do when getting ready!

Tell us how you like to wear smock dresses.
